Ziglu
Overview
Ziglu is a digital banking and cryptocurrency platform that enables users to manage traditional and digital currencies in one seamless experience. We designed a clean, intuitive mobile app that simplifies payments, currency exchange, and crypto transactions while delivering a secure, user-friendly experience through modern fintech-focused design.
Design Process
For Ziglu, I led design as part of a two-designer team, working through a clear Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver process from start to finish. In the Discover phase, we got to grips with Ziglu's business and its competitive landscape, analyzing five fintech competitors to understand where Ziglu could carve out a genuine unique selling point. From there, we moved into Define and Develop, mapping out user flows, building an experience map, and translating those insights into wireframes and a full app map. Alongside the app itself, I also worked closely with the marketing team to shape Ziglu's new brand and supporting marketing materials. The process wrapped up with a clickable prototype and ongoing support for the development team as things moved toward build.
The Challange
Ziglu's core promise, letting users hold, trade, and spend multiple currencies (traditional, foreign, and crypto) in one account, meant designing an experience that could make a genuinely complex financial concept feel simple and approachable. Breaking down both geographic and technological currency barriers sounds great on paper, but translating that into an intuitive app experience was another matter entirely. On top of that, while we'd identified a strong unique selling point through competitive analysis, we still needed to validate that it was something users actually wanted, rather than just something that looked good on paper.
The Solution
We delivered an app experience that let users easily trade cryptocurrency, view live market rates, and get deep insight into their portfolio balance, all through an interactive currency exchange solution and detailed transaction activity views. By grounding every design decision in the Discover-Define-Develop-Deliver process and validating our unique selling points against real user needs, Ziglu ended up with an app that genuinely delivered on its promise: putting users fully in control of their money, no matter what currency they wanted to hold, trade, or spend.
