Duneolas

Overview

Duneolas is a modern practice management platform designed to streamline operations for healthcare professionals. We crafted an intuitive and user-friendly interface that simplifies scheduling, patient management, and administrative workflows, delivering a seamless digital experience that enhances efficiency and productivity.

Design Process

This one kicked off a little differently. We actually started with the design system itself, shaping it to align with Duneolas' brand before diving into anything else. Once that foundation was set, we received the brief from the client and got into research mode to really understand the space we were designing for. From there, it was the usual exploration and iteration, trying things, refining them, seeing what worked. But the real test came when we brought the designs back to the users: doctors and general practitioners who reviewed everything with a critical eye. We took their feedback, made updates, and repeated the cycle until the design truly worked for the people using it every day.

The Challange

Designing for healthcare professionals comes with its own unique set of challenges. Since most of our users were general practitioners, keeping things simple and intuitive was non-negotiable, as these are busy professionals who need a system that works with them, not against them. On top of that, turning an old legacy system into a fresh, modern design was no small feat, and it wasn't just about making things look better, it meant rethinking the UX approach entirely to make the experience genuinely smoother and more efficient. Getting feedback from general practitioners had its hurdles too, especially with a lot of industry-specific "pharmacy language" that took time to fully understand, but we didn't stop iterating until they were satisfied and happy with the result.

The Solution

We ended up creating a system that finally put general practitioners first. By simplifying the interface and cutting out unnecessary complexity, the new design became something doctors could actually use quickly and confidently, no extra training required. Moving away from the legacy system, we introduced a more modern UX approach that streamlined everyday tasks, making the whole experience feel lighter and more intuitive. And through constant back and forth with GPs (even when the "pharmacy language" got tricky), we kept refining the design until it genuinely matched how they think and work, resulting in a solution that felt like it was built specifically for them.
